OK, So I'm a dipshit!!!

A little help here guys.

I picked up 80 pieces of 7mm RM brass from someone and well long story short I now have 80 primed cases that have not been resized yet. So, I guess my question is can I remove the decaping pin from my neck sizing die and resize the necks??? Or, is this not good. I really hate the idea of chucking 80 primers seeing as they are a little difficult to come by out here. Any brilliant ideas that are not going to get me killed would be welcome. Thanks.

If the brass was not fired in your chamber, proably best to FL resize. You should be able to remove the decapping pin, or back the decapper assembly out until it does not engage the primer.

Thanks. I actually FL resize my magnum brass as a general rule anyway to prevent it from getting a belly. I was just feeling a little cautious about FL resizing with the primers in. Better safe than sorry. Much appreciated.

You will need to pull the decap pin and leave the expander ball in place. Disregard if you use a mandrel to expand the neck.

If not, then the above poster's advice applies.

You got that right!

Sizing a primed case is fine. Just be sure not to get any case lube down inside the case. I like Imperial wax for sizing primed cases. Just remove the decapping pin.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I guess I'd just rather learn from the mistakes/experiences of others rather than my own especially when it involves things that go BOOM. No point in reinventing the wheel.

I have pushed the good primers back out with the sizing die, and then reinstalled them. I am still here, and they all fired when called on.
