I have posted here before about getting a pistol for my Old Lady.
Looking for Mk II Rugers.
I bought her a Beretta NEOS and that is working well until her MK II gets to the Trading Post.
She just got the Beretta NEOS and is shooting it as of the time of this post.
I hope I am not the receiver of all of her test shots.
If so, I am in deep shit.
It is 10 degrees and she is out there shooting at The Pump House.
You have to love an Old Lady that shares your interests, but wants a handgun instead of a rifle.

Scares the hell out of me.
She is a good shot so watch out if shooing against her in comp. Grandma may well kick your ass.

her Ruger MKII IS IN THE MAIL

Re: Old Lady has a NEOS

The Squaw just got back from the Pump House.
Shooting her new NEOS she is now cutting out card board boxes for tomorrow.
She had really good groups but,"That is not good enough, I can do better." She said.
Hey, I am all for it, she is making her own targets.
Keep in mind that it is 6 degrees F here and she was out there doing it. Had a good time, no problems with the pistol, left me alone, asked for more ammo and cutting out targets.
Having been married to her for 36 years, do you think I would tell her no? other than supplying wood?
The years have taken their toll and I know there are no hardbellies coming my way so I don't ask questions, just supply more ammo and keep stapling targets Regards, FM

Re: Old Lady has a NEOS

FM, your wife is making her own targets and shooting in 6 deg weather? Are you sure you are with the living or have you gone on to your reward? My wife will only shoot a .22 pistol. You are onto a good thing. Get her more ammo.

Re: Old Lady has a NEOS

I don't know how I got all of that blank space under my first post. Sorry about that, just don't know what I did wrong.
She shoots well and I think it is a thing where she can go to the Pump House and take out her frustrations then come home and all is well.
I went out to Wally world this AM and picked up a bulk box of 550 rds for her.
She has printed out some targets that she thought looked like fun and I have checked and swabbed the bore on this new NEOS and feel sure she will grab her bag upon her return from work and give it hell again.
I am not too good with a handgun but she is and I must say I am impressed with her accruracy with this new gun.
I damn sure don't want to be on the recieving end.
Some Old Ladies are good about this kind of thing and some not, I feel lucky to have who I do, just kind of wish she would show more interest in rifles.
She does shoot rifles and is good at it but prefers handguns.
Yes, I do sometimes wonder If I am not dead and just don't know it. Regards, FM

Re: Old Lady has a NEOS

Sounds good to me! My wife likes to shoot, and is better with a shotgun than I am, but I can still edge her with handguns and rifles. She did take her muley buck at 295 yards right through the heart from a sitting position with the .270 this year, and she's hit a gallon jug at 1,007 yards with one of my .308s, so she's no slouch. She loves her Ruger Mark III Hunter (stainless, fluted barrel, cocobolo grips) and her Taurus .357 magnum.

Keep an eye on the rear sight on that Neos - mine has a habit of working loose.

You might have her try on some rifles - my wife is fairly particular about what she likes. She has a Marlin Pink Lady .22 that she is deadly with, and she likes our Remington 700 SPS (the sporter version) in .270, and our Ruger Scout, but isn't fond of our Weatherby Vanguard or the 10/22. If she found something that fits her well and handles the way she likes, you never know what might happen.

Have fun!

Re: Old Lady has a NEOS

flyrodder- I followed my instructions left on a note this AM when the Squaw went to work.
1. Check NEOS and clean as needed.
2. Get a couple of those old political candidate signs out to staple targets to. I printed up targets so don't worry about that.
3. Check on ammo, I only have 200 rds. in the car. Go get some more as my friend Mary is going with me and put them in my bag along with your ear muffs.
4. You are the cook tonight as I am going out to have fun.
Get er done...
I did all as requested and am glad she is going as well as taking a friend.
Pizza tonight.
She has a used Ruger MkII coming her way that will take a few days and I can tell she is wanting it in the worst way.
Reminds me of Ralfie and his BB gun at Christmas.
Merry Christmas to all, especially if that Ruger arrives before 24 Dec.
I have been watching that rear sight and know what I am looking for and showed the Old Lady what to watch for. I think a little blue loctite is in order but want her to find her zero first.
Thanks for your input, Regards, FM

Re: Old Lady has a NEOS

my wife is the opposite, loves rifles hates pistols. one time she forgot all about the front sight on a pistol and only used the rear sights, she was hitting the dirt about 20 feet in front of her until i looked up and noticed about 6 shots into the mag
