Accuracy went way off. Cleaned the rifle, nothing better. Could not hit a 3x4.5 foot sized piece of cardboard at 50 yards, jsut barely made it on that same sheet at 25 yards. Nice pattern, but this isn’t a shotgun.

Took suppressor apart and gave it a good cleaning and boy did it need a good cleaning. Could have cast a bullet or two from the accumulated lead. Got it all back together, gave the rifle a good cleaning and viola. She is again hitting a one inch circle at fifty yards, the one inch circle I was aiming at for multiple shots, multiple times.

Can’t ignore the basics. You would think after 60 years of shooting I might have figured that out a touch earlier. .

I used to really enjoy shooting matches with my precision 22RF bolt repeaters with either a SWR Spectre II or TBAC 22TD suppressors, but after more testing showed a slight decrease in accuracy with either of these cans, I no longer shoot matches with them. It's still enjoyable to shoot suppressed while plinking or practicing here at home, but since all my rifles have barrels of at least 22" length, they're a lot more quiet (with std vel match ammo) than guys who're shooting 16" barrels. It's been over a year since I was able to shoot a PRS-style 22RF match, so I'm sure that several of the guys I shot with in the past have upgraded rifles since I last saw them - looking forward to shooting a match with them again soon...
