Older Leupold Vari-X III scopes

How do the older Leupold Vari-X III scopes from the 90's compare to what's made today? I have a Vari-X III in 3.5-10 and a 6.5-20 with Duplex reticles that aren't getting used much and thinking about an upgrade. Not sure how desireable these are today.

I wouldn’t waste my money on one unless it was going on a classic rifle to keep with the period-correct look, and would put that money towards buying something exponentially better.

There's still a market for them, I'd say 250 for the 10x and 350 for the 20x on ebay probably sell quick too. I put a 3.5-10 vx-iii duplex on ebay (newer one finger adjustable not coin) for 300 and it sold within a couple days.

You'll be surprised what they'll bring on ebay. Do a long auction starting at a penny with no reserve. The optics are ok, but the tracking will be the issue.
