I came across an add on FB marketplace for once fired 5.56 military brass. He has at least a dozen,50lb wooden crates full of brass. He is asking $200 per crate and is located in Francestown, NH, I thought someone would be able to use it??

I have fired several M249s, and yeah it tears up the brass. The ejections on those things are way more violent than your M16/AR15 type rifles.....not necessarily. This sounds like someone bid on some DRMO offerings and won, now trying to recoup their funds. Reconditioning cases from a SAW same as for those fired from M4's, especially if the M4's were in full-auto mode.
I see creases. A ding is one thing but creases where the brass is folded into a V? I guess you can do anything once but it wouldn't be advisable especially with better used brass out there no? And you can't really see if there's damage to the rest of the case from those photos. Just seems to be a low probability outcome purchasing brass like that.100% serious. Dinged necks can be rounded back out, and while I wouldn't pay as much for brass with necks dinged up that bad, it is reloadable.
Would make a hell of an opportunity to get a shitload of trash brass to convert to 300BO. I used to love it when I was in Ohio, the range owner and manager would keep damaged mouth, neck 223 brass for me. Chop saw makes them all equal contenders for good brass again.
