I always pick up range brass, but inspect carefully before sending down the gun. I keep it separate from competition brass, use it for plinking or steel.
Today after tumbling my most recent pull I found this guy lurking. Good pic of a major case head separation waiting to happen. But it did let me calibrate my "paper clip".
