Best group at 500.

Had some magazine issues and some gas issues got them all sorted this weekend.
Dura mags seem to feed the best after some attention is paid to feed lips .
One out of 3 ASC mags has been 100% the other two are going in the trash .
Anyhow pleased with how it tuned out .
The bic lighter is 3 inches for reference.

The two high and one low shots on the left was sighting in at 100 then the next 5 just high and right of center and then last 2 rounds in the mag dead center after a small adjustment. Still don’t have but maybe 100 rounds down the tube . Have high hopes for this Franken AR

It’s really fun to be able to take a lightweight Grendel with a nice barrel, and just stack rounds on the head of an IPSC at 500yds, while watching your own impacts and not needing anyone to spot for you.

It was an amazing day at the range ! My first Grendel showed so much promise but was lacking in some quality new barrel and bolt seemed to be the ticket
It’s kinda the rig I’ve always been looking for - I will probably built the same rifle in a 16 or maybe 14.5 .

I have 400 rounds of AAC factory ammo to play with . I haven’t even messed with leverlution or cfe yet 2520 seems to do what I want .
I maybe late to the party but fuck I’m having a time

One thing I do on AR-15s is de-edge, blend, and polish my feed ramps.

Ejector gets radiused if it has sharp edges.

With Grendel bolt faces, the side of the case rim can get stuck on the side of the ejector when feeding from right side magazine presentation, so you need to either have a short or de-edged ejector.

Same with the AR-10. The Dutch did it on theirs when they produced those rifles, which shows a high level of mechanical engineering awareness on their part.

None of my magazines have been modified in any way, and they just run.

That’s across multiple Grendels, from 12” suppressed to 24” barrels.

Glad you got it sorted. They really are fun guns.

Great group at 500. Maybe they’ve stepped up their game and gotten the AAC ammo consistent.

I’ve read so much about “modifying mags” for Grendel . None of these C- products Dura mags ran until I beveled the feed lips and 2 of three ASC won’t run . Replaced mag catch and bolt catch - no difference, even a standard AR mag had trouble with more than 2 or 3 rounds . Still can’t figure a why ?

These groups were with handloads - but I have ACC ammo I’ve been using to get brass - the great 6arc has caused or did for a time a 6.5 Grendel brass shortage .
Maybe I’m mistaken but I don’t see anything I can do with 6arc I can’t do with this 6.5.
