Most scope discussion on here is moa vs. mil. I have a Lieca and a Swarovski scope which adjust in .5 centimeter, which seems to figure about .2 inches. Where does this fit in and why the difference if anyone knows. Thanks....
Some .1 mil adjusting scopes are marked in linear form as 1cm/click but they are the same as .1 mil. You scope is the same as a .05 mil per click scope which is half of .1 mil. If you need to make it linear then it would be .18" at 100 yards as .1 mil is .36" at 100 yards.
If it adjusts .5cm at 100m it is approximately .05 mil at 100m.
Most people who shoot a lot like to have the reticle and the units of adjustment the same. If you see your point of impact you can measure the distance from your point of aim and dial or hold the difference as measured off the reticle and get hits dead on.
mil vs moa it does not really matter any more than sae vs metric. It is what you learn and how you apply it that matters.
If your reticle is a mil dot then you are in luck.
