Rifle Scopes One piece mount or Rings?

Hi guys & gals.just finishing a 6.5 build for some long range shooting,impact action on a manners t4a mini chassis,putting a gen2 razor on it and wondering everyones opinion on a one piece mount or rings.never used a one piece but see they seem to be very popular now,so feel free to chime in.probably going with a masterpiece arms if a one piece and if rings seekins or apa

Spuhr is nice if you need to attach stuff to it.
I’m running rings happily, ARC M-10’s preferably.

I use MPA one-piece on all mine now. Good price point and solid.

I use rings and never an issue with my Razors. The Seekins/Vortex Precision Matched work great and don't break the bank.

If weight isn’t an issue, I prefer the simplicity of a one piece mount.

One piece also adds in it's own issue with placement on the scope and height as you can only get them so low due to construction. You can't move the clamping areas back and forth on the scope like you can with rings to account for where it is on the tube or the rail. They are where they are. I like the versatility of rings. I have tried one piece mounts in the past and always go back to rings.

I agree with Rob, on bolt guns a set of rings gives me more versatility in mounting and at a lower cost than a comparable one piece mount. I use one piece mounts on AR's but that's it.

Good rings will work fine. Using vortex pmr rings I’am switching back and forth between two rifles and after I adjust my recorded zero the impact rarely changes.

If weight doesn't matter I prefer one piece. If it does then rings.

I prefer rings on my bolt guns because they give more options in mounting. seekins precision are hard to beat for the money and I have never had them fail me. a one piece mount can work good on a precision ar because the ones designed for them move the scope forward for proper eye relief.

NF rings on my bolt guns and one-piece Burris PEPR mounts on my ARs. I know the Burris mounts are not the most expensive, but I have had them for several years and they are rock solid, so I am comfortable with/trust them. Rings on my bolt guns give me the flexibility to mount them as needed for the configuration of the rifle.

One piece is okay, as long as it doesn’t make your glass look like it has a lift kit on it. I’ve found i can get my reticle closer to center of bore with rings. The mounts are usually too tall for my liking. I had a nice ADM one piece to start and had to sell it

I have the Vortex Precision matched rings and love them! Solid choice.

In your application, I would go rings. In my experience, for that set up, you would want around a 1" height. Rings are better for that.
