If you are selling something online you need to be much smarter than this.

As soon as they say stupid crap, tell them I don't sell to idiots ! Laughing or not.

"probably couln't... heh, heh...." and "I can't pass a background check so I'm going the private person route," are two entirely different games.

In all the recordings the subjects saying they probably couldn't pass a background check say it in a tone and inflection that would cause a person to believe they are joking around. Unless he's a dyed in the wool, rabid anti-gun prosecutor wanting to make a name for himself, most prosecutors wouldn't touch this, and I certainly wouldn't submit it.

I think this is a propaganda piece put together by the Southern Poverty Law Center or the Brady Campaign. I don't doubt this happens once in a while, if this was the real deal we would have heard about all over the network news. All 8 videos by this person were listed within the last two days. The text in the video is very deceptive, leading antigunners to believe anyone can sell any gun to anyone else through the internet.

Did you notice the location of the last caller, Charlottesville, Virginia. Thats right where the Southern Poverty Law Center is.

Fuck this commercial, but its still wise to check.

Regardless of the intent of the piece, it's unfortunate but true that we will be undone by our own stupidity...

Gun owners have to realize how hard the gun grabbers are working on their side, and we need to be vigilant and above board on ours, otherwise they will win.

Re: Online Sales, Be Smarter than this ...

Yeah, you gotta be smarter than that.

But, you gotta be a bonafide gun owner selling a bonafide gun to list a gun on the 'net?

This whole thing just smells of a "staged act"....hell, they gotta do something since fast and furious flopped.

I'll list a gun, somebody give me a call, I'll turn on the tape recorder.....I'm betting heavy odds we could make one of our own that sounds just like it.

and the text made sure to call the long guns "assault rifles". i have no doubt this was a propaganda piece and i highly doubt there "investigators" were law enforcement.

Kalifornia stopped that practice back in 90. All PPT's have to use a FFL now. And it must be working because you can see how safe we are here in Kalifornia.

My thoughts exactly. Probably couldn't and probably could are one in the same.
And as you said, the inflection indicates it could be said in jest.
I would think that any good lawyer would get this tossed pretty quickly.
