Open up Bergara action to take RimX mags?

At the rimfire finale, one of my squadmates was having a ton of issues with his mags in his Bergara. I offered my RimX mags up only to find out that they wouldn't fit. After looking at it, it seems like the opening only needs to be opened a bit. Has anyone tried to do this? I have an action on the way and am going to take a stab at it.

I would wait before taking a dremel to the action. There are at least 2 companies working on aftermarket Bergara B14R mags right now. L3I and Anarchy Outdoors

Trust me I am not taking a dermel to it. It will be machined out on a mill.

Although I shoot mainly a Rim-X now, I have a Bergara B14r that I love. Just not a fan of the magazines so I will be interested to see how good these new magazines work. The weakest link in the Bergara platform is their magazines IMO. And the RimX magazines are absolutely aces. The build quality and the effortless loading and feeding is nice to have. I saw the L3I mags and I am anxiously waiting on some feedback.

Vudoo Nylon Mags fed my bergara flawless.

Same with my Bergara in a KRG stock. Never had a single issue with a Vudoo mag, but I did have one Bergara mag that gave me issues a few times.

So far we are getting pretty good feedback on the first run of them. We took all the feedback and are immediately improving them with small tweaks to make sure they perform for everyone.

I don't have a rimX mag to test fitment but how much material would have to be removed? Are we talking a chamfer or enlarging the entire mag port?

If you do let me know how it works.
