All,

First of all, thank you for having me here. This forum has been a wealth of knowledge, and I appreciate what you all have taught me.

That said, if you are willing to do so, I would appreciate your opinions on a matter. I just mounted my Zeiss Conquest DL, and in order to get proper eye relief, I had to mount the scope extremely aftward. My eyes are getting older, and I am borderline OCD, so I am curious if you all think the scope ring in the pic is too close/on the objective bell.

Thank you for your time and consideration regarding this matter,
Nick

I have some closer than that. Reality is that there is almost no movement between the scope and the action if the rings are tight. The scope does not bend that much (if any) without damage so you should be fine.

Thank you for putting my mind at ease, gentlemen. I appreciate your input, and I am going to leave the scope where it is. Thank you for taking the time to post a reply to my original post.

Also, in reading my post, I realize that I may have caused some confusion, for which, I apologize. In this instance, to clarify, I am inquiring about the distance between the end of the scope ring and the flare of the objective bell. I am happy with the distance between the bottom of the objective bell and the tip of the underlying cantilever mount. This is a Browning Maxus II slug gun. Again, thank you for your replies.
