Ops Core Up Armor Ballistic Side Covers provide additional ballistic coverage and environmental protection, allowing the user to quickly adjust the level of ballistic coverage to match changing threats. Sold as a set of two (left/right), these Up-Armor covers are designed to integrate with the Ops Core FAST High Cut and Maritime Ballistic Helmets. They use a quick, tool-less attachment method that locks into the proprietary Ops Core ARC Rails on the sides of these helmets. This two-point attachment system ensures a strong and rigid base.
The Up-Armor Ballistic Covers are low-profile so as to not interfere with sighting (stock weld) on shoulder fire weapons.
The scalable system allows operators to adapt to changing threats. But, side armor can be left on a FAST helmet for point personnel on entry teams as added protection. These Side Armor Covers meet level III-A NIJ Standard and 2007 ACH CO/PD-05-04 Fragmentation Protection minimum V50 Ballistic Protection Limits.
Slim and Wide Profile covers are available. Slim Profile works for operators who use in-ear earpro/COMMs systems. Wide Profile accommodates headset-style earpro/COMMs systems.
