Hello and thanks in advance. I just zeroed a new Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56 in MOA, and when I slipped the scales, my windage was 10 moa right. Seemed a bit excessive being as wind was null, but I dont know shit about shit.. Second question, are these rings decent? My options were pretty limited in 34mm.p

10 MOA to get centered sideways seems excessive.

Your scope ring options are pretty limited if you insist in buying them from your local gun store. That's what the internet is for.

Roger that.. Would you suspect the 10 MOA misalignment is due to the shotty rings (mounted by the local smith) or due to the budget optic? Also do you (or anyone with experience) have any recommendations on a super solid set of rings? Weaver was the shit back in my day, but I know things are constantly changing. Thanks again for the input.

I have a strong suspicion that the vertically split rings plus a local hack is the reason you're so far off to the side.

I recommend you buy a pair of these in whatever height you need and mount the scope yourself: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00URT7N9U?tag=duckduckgo-d-20&linkCode=osi&th=1&psc=1

Speaking of ring height, you want a height that will lend itself to a head position on the stock that's as natural as possible. That is rarely achieved using the lowest possible rings.
