Rifle Scopes Optic Cerekote?

A couple of the younger guys I've built rifles for wanted their scopes CeraKoted. I have no problem doing barreled actions, but no way am I going to screw with scopes. They've been going to a guy in Wichita, Ks. to get them done, and AFAIK, they've turned out fine. Air dry & heat cure colors don't match perfectly, but that seems to be the only issue they've had. Not a snowball's chance in hell I'll have one of my Kahles scopes done though...if it was that important not to have a black scope atop one of my rifles, I'd just get a roll of that camo wrap fabric tape & use it.
 
You can use the high heat Cerakote,,
ive done stocks at 140 for 3 to 4 hours and they cure fine. If my scope can't handle 140 degrees, I don't want it anyways.

Most quality optics can handle a curing temp of 170 or lower just fine. Most of the manufacturers that I know of bake them at around 150 prior to filling them with whatever inert gas that they use to prevent fogging to help out gas any moisture that is in the optic. Just Sayin'...
