Hey guys, I need some help choosing an optics for my rifle. I know these come up very often, but my I have not seen my choices together.
Rifle is a 6.5 Creedmoor. I will be using the rifle for LR classes. Hopefully classes to get out to 1000. Right now I have a Athlon Cronus BTR G2 4.5-29X56. Quite heavy.
Choices are:
1. Zeiss V4 6-24X50 with ZBi-68 Reticle.
2. Nightforce SHV 5-20X56 C535 MOAR.
3. Leupold Mark 4 6-24X52 PR3 MIL (But keep hearing a lot of stories about the turrets being totally off)
4. Any other suggestions?

Would likes:
Weight below 24ounces.
Illuminated reticle (Not deal breaker)
Locking turrets (Not deal breaker)

Or should I just keep the Cronus?

I would shoot what you have and try to get behind as many other scopes for a look as you can. A class is a great place to check out gear. If you are starting out, there is a lot of range time needed before that scope will be holding you back.

I have other scopes. A couple Nikon FX1000s, Arken EP5, Primary Arms SLx series and a Bushnell Match Pro.
I like the Cronus, but I want to make this rifle a bit lighter. Since I am changing thinking of changing the scope, I have decided to just get something better and move things around. Cronus will replace the EP5. The EP5 is on my heavy bench rifle. Weight is no issue there.
