I have done a little research on optics for my very first rifle which is the Bushmaster XM-15 E2S. I dont want to spend a whole lot of money at first until I get into it more. So I was thinking about the Burris AR 332 for my first scope. I only want to shoot about 2-300 yards at first so what does everyone think? I would also like suggestions if that scope would not be a good fit for me

I think the AR-332 will work well for you. Are you currently only looking at red dot sight? Take a look at the Nikon M-223 series scopes. They are great for target shooting in the 200-300 yard range. The 2-8x32mm is a good one to look at.

Thanks Chase. No, I am actually open to whatever but want just thought the ar 332 would be a better all around scope from short to long range. Do you think the nikon m223 nikoplex would be ok for short and long range shooting? I just checked the nikoplex out online and it sounds like a pretty nice scope and is right in my price range.

This is the model I was referencing:
M-223 2-8x32mm
The parallax is set to 100 yards, so it might be difficult to maintain consistent groups at say 25 yards. But It will work well for all around target shooting from 50-300+ yards.
