Leupold, Us Optics, The small Vortex, Bushnell, Zeiss. I wish I could find one with small graduations for ranging that I could afford. I would love the Bushnell but it is in 1 mil incriments. I cant find any of the prototypes with a horus anywhere. Have I missed any others? I am going to mount one of my Horus Reitcle scopes on a tripod for now I think.

Todd, are you taking into account the Much higher magnification of a Spotter VS Rifle Scope... and the need or lack of a need for smaller "tics" on the retical because of it ?

Re: options for ranging reticle spotters?

I dont fully understand your question but, my reply to what I under stand is I dont consider myself very good at breaking down a full mil ret. If I had .2 mil in the view it would be easier for me to be more accurate. I understand the higher power of the spotter plays a part in the precision of the estimation but, the size of the target is also bigger so it should be tit for tat? Thoughts?

Sucks it's only 30x and you give up a good amount of magnification with that spotting scope and eyepiece combo.

The eyepiece and reticle in the Leupold Mark 4 works for the full 40x magnification.

Todd-
USO's Euro MOA reticle has a inverted "L" in .2mils:

The Leupy Mk IV also has some .2mils grades on the edge.

But those are the only two spotting scope reticles I know of at a half way decent price.

Why do you need a Horus reticle to mil targets? Any of the spotters w/reticles you list above are fine for milling or shot correction. I've used all of them except the Bushnell which I'm not familiar with. The Leupold will work as you can get it with the TMR or a Horus both of which provide a .2mil hash option.

Re: options for ranging reticle spotters?

I use a Meopta TGA 75 with a 30X wide angle ranging reticle and a 20-60 regular eyepiece. I prefer the WA 30X vs one with more power.....the field of view is huge so it is perfect for observation, calling shots.
