Orange Bowl

Re: Orange Bowl

Yeah most of the team that plays constantly are freshman at the moment. Its Clemson. Everyone plays the team up to be good and we never play that well. This was our best year in quite a while and everyone thought we were the bee's knees on campus. Numbers don't lie. Drunk sorority girls do.

Quite a few of my buddies and co-workers were there. Apparently, you didn't bump into them or their significant others.

Re: Orange Bowl

I was there last night. We left during the 3rd quarter after watching Clemson continue to get prison raped in the second half. Sadly, you never know whether Clemson will actually show up for a game, and my biggest hope was that we wouldn't embarrass ourselves in a BCS game. After watching that fuckawful nightmare of a game finally end, I say we embarrassed ourselves plenty.

I had no idea what to expect from the WV fans, but they were class acts. I'd look forward to playing them again if we actually showed up to play.

Re: Orange Bowl

Most of the time the fans are great. USC fans are pretty bad sometimes but everybody else is pretty nice. USC fans started bar fights in Clemson the last time we played them and 5 Points in Columbia is even worse after a game. I hate driving long distances for away games and it would have been an easy $500 dollar trip had I gone to this one.

Re: Orange Bowl

Interesting, right after someone mentions belligerent USC fans - a USC fan comes along and posts a belligerent, and poorly written comment denouncing Clemson.

"...spit them put!!!", well said indeed.

In regards to sportsmanship and gentlemanly decorum, my tailgate usually gives more beer and food away to visiting teams than we consume. We enjoy being hospitable to people who travel hundreds of miles to visit, and want them to enjoy coming back, win or lose.

I cannot say the same for USC, and after being subjected to the noxious behavior from many within their fan base, including watching women being assaulted in their stadium after this year's loss, I will no longer travel to Columbia to watch them play. Unfortunately, posts such as what is written above only serve to reinforce this decision.
