Rifle Scopes Orange vs red

So a sponsor has the ior valdada 1/4 bulldog for sale for 900 with red reticle. Now assuming it has the cattail extention I'm interested.

Question red vs orange, how big a difference on a larger donut reticle like that is it? Which is better, if i go red not orange will I down the road be looking to upgrade? Its 250 bucks less to go red instead of orange. (spot check any complaints about this scope? I've been looking haven't found any, its not quite the ease of teh elcan but I can't afford that)

I will admit I kinda prefer green in general but if this is on par with ease to see like an acog's red brightness level I'm fine with that.

Well considering i wanted to take the scope into larue to figure out exactly what I want for ring height, and wanted quick detach.... military discount and all that... I went with the orange.... I suspect I"m going to be very happy indefinitely
