Good shootin' as always! You guys really put a hurtin' on those dogs up there during the winter. I noticed you were using the lightning jack on your FoxPro, I never had any luck with it. How long are you running the sound typically?

Now that Im moving to Texas I would like to get some coyote hunting in. I was thinking my DTA with the .243 barrel and my Elite Iron suppressor would make an ideal dog killer.

What would be the best bullet to run? Im not interested in collecting coats, Id just want to drop 'em quick and humanely. Ive heard DTACS dont too bad a job at killing stuff.....thoughts?

That should be under motivational thread, great work fellas! Spotter/LRF with two suppressed shooters looks to be an efficent setup for sure. They can't spook the others if they dont run, building solid position=solid kill shot.

That was Great . Luv the last dog that got Popped when he moved down and Highlighted himself on the ridge . That was a good shot & good camera-shot also .

Congrates, Triples are hard to get on a single sit & it's a satisfying feeling . 3 dog kills are a lot harder than getting double Dogs on a single sit . & on Single-sits, I have only done it twice, & that is over several years of hunting dogs .

Three very nice kill shots, the 22-250 has probably killed more coyotes than Cecil B Demille killed stand in's.

It all depends man... somtimes I just let it play, while others, I'll hit it for 5-10 seconds so the dog can't locate the sound and we can obtain better footage! the most fun is with the hand call, and you get footage of em jumpin right on top of ya!

Richard, the first was about 120, the second kill 100, and the third was about 250. My "Coyote Rifle" is designated for one purpose and that is killing dogs from 0-400M all while trying to get the best footage possible... each particular platform I build is based on my needs, ie. my 260 is a great stick to pick up the slack from 400 -1200, whether its bangin steel or killin whitetail, my 338 NM picks up from 1K -2K mostly for smashing elk and reaching steel until the 300otm starts tumbling... my dog gun, is set up for high speed low drag acquisitions, the 18" 1:8twst Muller Works Barrel is a shooter period and I'll give Bugholes and Mr. Dixon Credit for turning me on to that set up, but that's another story..., with the trajectory my reloads give me, I use the NP-R1 reticle as follows... since it's not a FFP optic anything beyond 250 I need to power up to 15X to utilize what it has to offer, @ 300 I hold 3 mins, and at 400 I hold 4, end of story, and a VERY efficient way of using hold over.

Thanks for the info. Viewing the shots on my iPad makes them appear much further. Then as I thought about it the sudden, in the tracks kills seemed more like the ranges you quote. My expirence is that beyond 300m I get some floppers.

Ya the website needs revamped... in all honesty it's much easier to stay in touch and post up our recent work and reviews on youtube, then share em on our facebook page... the website is just a reference point to give fellas an idea of what we do on the side, including guided hunts and some firearms sales.
