So it seems that Outback Precision Rifle Club in Cresson Texas has closed down, i'm not sure why, as i was not a member but planned on joining as soon as i got my rifle finished, as they looked like a real nice place to shoot and didn't have an astronomical yearly membership fee. I was wondering if anyone on here knew more, also i know they were supposed to host a PRS match in September, any info on what they will do for that, the triple c range is still on that property so maybe they will host.

Yeah it sucks. I was going to get a membership there also. They dumped the web page and facebook without additional explination. Some of the other people I know that were regulars don't have any facts on what happened. Closest monthly match is Greenville now.
I shot the gass gun match there....then monday morning POW.......Geordie pulls the eject handles...and caravans all the helo carcass off to parts not known.....hope He and his family is doing well.....I love that guy
Ranges are prime real estate. Golf courses back East have been snapped up right and left and turned into developments in a recent trend.

From the last Facebook post, it made it seem like he was trying to get something lined up somewhere else. The ranch is staying a ranch, it's not a development issue. More like dealing with rich ranch owners from my perspective. You can never satisfy those kind of people and they always want more, and not happy with anything other than there way. Hopefully something gets back and rolling in the area.
Hopefully something else does get rolling, it would be awesome if they got another range setup near fort worth, or just anywhere within an hour and a half of dfw, and i'd be happy
