The purpose of this post is to check the level of interest in a new Extreme Long Range Shooting Area. Range will be private and access will be limited to "members". Tactical classes will possibly be held here also.

A small group of competitive long range shooters are considering setting up a range in Schuylkill County, PA. This range will allow shooting from 100 yards to 1,760 yards or 1 mile.

Also provided will be grounds to practice tactical shooting with varying yardage and angles.

Hanging steel, paper, and tannerite will be the primary targets at this location.

Keep us posted. It might be one of the closer long range places near me. I also have family in Allentown area, so I get down that way once in a while.

North of Harrisburg, East of Selinsgrove, somewhat beyond Williamsport/Bodines from my location (Dundee/Watkins Glen, NY).

Looking at the map, it appears more accessible by major roads from the East and North than from Rt 14/Rt 15; which would be my primary access route.

Travel time/distance, and cost of membership would bear heavily on my decision. I don't (won't) use Bodines anymore, but it was already at roughly the maximum distance I had considered reasonable for me and my situation.

I dont know what part of PA you are in. Eastern Ohio has a nice range. Thunder Valley Precision. Tom Sarver on here. I've got his nuber if you need it. It is just north of cambridge. I70 and I 77 cross there. Hope it helps. You can get a mile nad farther

hell yes im interested,.. i have to drive out to Lewistown to get to 1K now,.. i would love something closer to strecth out my .300WM & M82a1.

What is the grid reference on this magical land of ballistics!!?

I'll open to this kind of shooting as the longest I know of is New Holland's 600 yard
