8 to 10 weeks just to get an 80% jig produced and then shipping time on top of that IF they finish when they say they will. Are these people worth the wait?

Lol here’s some current feedback for you…Stiller has been waiting almost two fucking years for PT&G to provide bolts for their mk13 actions. One problem after another with those things. Nothings changed. Search function answers all your questions about PT&GYes I did but old threads are not an assessment of current conditions. Quality changes over time in many places so I am looking for current feedback. I do appreciate your answering my question though.
Dale Trout fucked this relationship up. Stiller is now on its 3rd owner. Blame Stiller on that one. But I still would not buy anything from them.Lol here’s some current feedback for you…Stiller has been waiting almost two fucking years for PT&G to provide bolts for their mk13 actions. Agree, Stiller is def not blameless. Some company Horizon Firearms owns them now I thinkDale Trout fucked this relationship up. Stiller is now on its 3rd owner. Blame Stiller on that one. But I still would not buy anything from them.
You didn’t ACTUALLY order something from them, did you ?8 to 10 weeks just to get an 80% jig produced and then shipping time on top of that IF they finish when they say they will. Are these people worth the wait?
If everyone cancels they make 15% for nothing.Hmm so "restocking fees" is a profit vehicle? I will note that and look to see what they do.
Daggum bro. Good catch!I don't think they can charge you a restocking for an order that is canceled. Restocking fees are for orders that are returned. I.E. They shipped and you received in a designated time period. Check state laws where you are both located and ask your CC.
Illegal Restocking Fees

It was not worth arguing over this so I let them have it. You live and learn who to deal with and sometimes it costs you a little to do so. I did promise them if they did it though that I would spend a little time telling people about them as a number of you have told me about them.I don't think they can charge you a restocking for an order that is canceled. You actually got a reply from them ?It was not worth arguing over this so I let them have it. You live and learn who to deal with and sometimes it costs you a little to do so. I did promise them if they did it though that I would spend a little time telling people about them as a number of you have told me about them.
I got a reply from PTG today and it reads
"yes, we often get slammed online for doing exactly what our terms and conditions say we are going to do. It's okay. We can't stop your reviews, Perhaps instead of online reviews, reading the terms and conditions of the contract would have been more beneficial in this situation. "
I was going to reply and point out that good companies don't have this type of problem to deal with because they take care of QA and timely deliveries when humanly possible and don't have an earned bad track record. They clearly know what they are so rather then reply to deaf ears I will reply here.
That reply would have doubled my resolve to get my money back. Something tells me a consumer protection lawyer might interested in this as a class action suit. There would seem to be lots of people who have been charged 15 percent for absolutely nothing. No items shipped, sometimes the items aren't even made and they charge their restocking fee on canceled back orders Most credit card companies stipulate that places aren't supposed to charge you until your items have shipped. It was not worth arguing over this so I let them have it. I did promise them if they did it though that I would spend a little time telling people about them as a number of you have told me about them.

By all means go order from them. I am sure they have changed their ways.Yes I did but old threads are not an assessment of current conditions. Quality changes over time in many places so I am looking for current feedback. I do appreciate your answering my question though.
Stiller is a shit company, its not 2008 anymore.Dale Trout fucked this relationship up. Stiller is now on its 3rd owner. Blame Stiller on that one. But I still would not buy anything from them.
Manson or JGS will do headspace gauges, not sure about receiver lapping tools but worth a call anyways.i've ordered stuff from PTG: receiver lapping tools, headspace guages. sometimes it's in stock, sometimes not. sometimes it takes a while, but they've always delivered. eventually. My 6ARC headspace gauges took 5 months, but then again, no other sources. just got to "let it ride".
Lots of ELR rifles built on Stillers. As mentioned they were recently acquired by KASPAR Companies/ Kaspar Outdoors which will hopefully bring new life.Stiller hasn't put out a new product in like 10 years. They are obsolete. Only reason people still buy their shit is building mk13 clones.
I've never handled a Stiller but Bat is nice for sure and the Cadex is decent. I agree when a guy is spending the money the couple extra bucks for a nicer action is piss in the pot at the end of it. That doesn't change that about 20% of the actions at Ko2M are stillers. If I was building an ELR gun, they would be the last company too look at. You Have BAT, Pierce or even Cadex who makes a very nice action.
Stiller is is budget action which considering how much you spend building out a rig and support gear, saving a few hundred dollars is penny wise and pound foolish.
Its about as dumb as ordering something from PT&G.
It is wise to always read the complete thread before kicking your own rear end.By all means go order from them. I am sure they have changed their ways.
There is an old saying. The best indicator of future performance, is past performance.
It is wise to always read the complete thread before kicking your own rear end.
And this attitude right here ^^ is why I'd never do business with them."yes, we often get slammed online for doing exactly what our terms and conditions say we are going to do. It's okay. We can't stop your reviews, Perhaps instead of online reviews, reading the terms and conditions of the contract would have been more beneficial in this situation. "
