I am looking for a good 3day+ pack, that supports the load well, but also works well with a separate battle belt.

I would like to be able to drop the pack, but still have pistol, mags for rifle and pistol and a few other things.

Rifle carry would be a plus also.

I wish someone made a setup where the pack hooked into the belt, so it could be removed, while still wearing the belt. But then the belt would provide good support for the weight.

Ive used most of the large name packs, Kifaru, Eberlestock, London Bridge, and Mystery Ranch. Mystery Ranch always gets the nod from me, until I find something better. Having a load bearing belt on the pack gets in the way of a battle belt sometimes, so keep that in mind while looking.

All the above brands make great packs, just look for an assault pack that has the features you deem important to you.

The pack body would need to be narrow to have a fastex buckle on each side for a quick release. Or-attach at the bottoms to not interfere with side gear on the belt.I think the other option would be a velcro sleeve that already exist on some but it wouldn't be quick release while worn. I think the only issue would be variances in load weight would cause ride problems. Neat idea though.

I was thinking, that since the load is primarily vertical, the pack frame could just sit in receptacles on the belt to transfer some of the load from the shoulder straps to the belt. Then just byy lifting the pack up, you could disconnect it from the belt.

I am trying to create a modern, load carrying version of the old ALICE harness with butt pack and ruck sack. :)

check out the hotel 23 by First spear , the body of the pack is slim and it is to add to it or take away to fit your needs , plus I have carried it with my battle belt comfortably .

The Mystery Ranch has quickly become my favorite. I have the ASAP and the three day and they are awesome. No sore shoulders at the end of the day. They carry loads very well.
