My sister is doing a bugout drill again and using a Maxpedition Falcon II with 1.5 inch waist straps. She needs padded sleeves to go over them for comfort and load-bearing over the course of a 15 miler - any suggestions for a source for those?

Preferably with webbing on them for pouches, etc.

No longer than 7 inches per sleeve.

Thanks!

A lot of over the shoulder bags have pads that fit straps of that size. You may be able to find some through a luggage repair site, computer bag manufacturer, a camera shop, or from a bag you aren't using. They may be longer than 7", but you're going to have to do some custom work at any rate. Your best bet would be in finding a replacement pad through a manufacturer. Another option would be to replace the straps with padded straps from another pack.
Good luck!

I have seen folks use those seatbelt cushions for that purpose to cushion backpack straps.....the kind that slip over the seatbelt straps that are used in a car to cushion the passenger from impacts and they are nylon and usually soft and padded and often woman use them to prevent melon chaffe while driving Lol.
Cheap at a Kmart and have velcro closure for quick on and off.
