Looking to do a camo job on a KRG Bravo chassis.

General plan is to:

(1) Sand the black polymer to remove any coatings and give paint something to adhere to
(2) etch and clean with acetone
(3) mask off areas to give the chassis a black (factory color) base.
(4) sponge on ODG and FDE colour
(5) Maybe seal with a light spray on matte
(6) maybe bake up to 150 deg (per KRG)

Other thoughts / ideas / recommendations?

Thanx

this was my write up a while back. has held up great.

Degrease, mask, spray paint, done.

No peeling or flaking after a couple years with plenty of use, and it's usually just tossed in the back seat.

I started with fde, did a tikka black stock and we had to strip and start over with a gray coat to let the color come through. The black base was too dark, and we were gobbing the paint on to see it.

To add to Chevy Man you can hit it with an spray that increases adhesion to plastic too but I stopped doing that as krylon or similar just doesn't come off that easily. Couple threads with info
