Rifle Scopes Parallax adjustments?

Are there any tricks to really fine tuning your parallax adjustment? Or is moving your head side to side pretty much it?

Moving your head side-to-side and up-and-down is the way to check for parallax, but before you get to that point the ocular/eyepiece/diopter must be correctly adjusted for your "shooting" eye.
