I was setting the parallax on my S&B 5X-25X yesterday and had a problem. With the target in focus the reticle would sit still in the up & down direction but would shift left to right. Have any of you see this kind of thing before and know why?

You must have been moving the rifle when testing left and right.
What you are describing is impossible.

The image is either focused on the reticle plane or it is not focused on the reticle plane.
If there is no parallax vertically, then there is no parallax horizontally.

This... my guess is you're moving the rifle.
