Passed: Philly "Cold Beer" Bulletproof Glass Bill, Ban Possible in 3 Years

The same Libtard that put a sin tax on "sugary" drinks in Philly, including, get this, diet soda, is hell bent on getting a bunch of Koreans killed.

Inner-city Philly is home to "cold beers," deli/restaurants with package licenses that serve up beer by the can, and mounds of mostly fried meals to local residents. Along with that, they sell typical convenience store items. Most of the owners are Asian, almost all Korean, and the neighborhoods that they serve are dicey as fuck.

So, naturally, there's a vote on December 14 in City Council to ban bulletproof glass partitions with windows that lift or spin through which food may be served. Read the article if you want more on the inane reasoning, but it boils down to removing the Asian jackboot of greasy, unhealthy culinary oppression from the neck of the downtrodden black man.

I guess they can make their own cheesesteaks and fry their own damned shrimp.

Sadly, without these places, there's almost nowhere to go in some neighborhoods for typical convenience store stuff. WaWa and Seven-11 won't risk setting up in the heart of the 'hood.

As someone who worked out of both 52nd & Parkside, and the 5400 block of N. 5th St., among other places, yeah, I concur.

I can't count the times I've hit up Jim's on N. 62nd, and the story is the same just about everywhere you go, historic landmark or not.

She's indignant. She sees these stores, per what she's said, as a blight on the community. Part of it is true, in that there are some nuisance shops that only stock Zig-zags, EZ-Widers, cold 40s, Tasty Kakes, and cheap hard liquor off-license by the shot. But most of them are legitimate, and sell cheap, greasy basic food, as well as beer, can by can, which they do legally, and all sorts of typical convenience store stuff, just like a bodega or a colmado. Being in a high-crime area, they're up-armored, and she's incensed because she sees it as uppity Asians, one, hating on minorities, and two, taking advantage of their stuck-in-a-rut socioeconomic quagmire. I think she'd prefer a bunch of African-Americans opening up Saladworks franchises in their stead, but like most Libs she's higher than a Georgia pine on unicorn farts.
