I'd like to start a movement calling for the correct use of the adverb "literally" which means that what was said actually happened. It bothers me that our society has literally become totally ignorant (not meaning rude) in so many ways that we literally don't know how to speak properly. Do we literally not teach English in schools anymore? The difference between literally and figuratively? And it's not just the younger generation. I literally hear it every where. It literally blows my mind. This forum is literally the closest thing to social media that I get so I'm putting it out there. I literally hear it misused like 10 million times a day. Maybe we should just literally ban the word.
