This is my LR-308 with a 24" bull barrel, A-2 upper, factory everthing. At least until I get my trigger. It has Seekins Rings, Badger 22moa riser, Falcon Menace 5.5x25x50.

Hell Yea!!! I was looking at a few online last night, along with suppressors... What NV are you going with?

Re: Pics of LR-308 rifle

Well damn, my Falcon just took a crap on me... Now I am going buy a SWFA 10x HD... And of course get the Falcon replaced.

Re: Pics of LR-308 rifle

I was going through the magnifications when I noticed that everytime I would twist the ring to zoom in or out the reticle would move up going one way, then down the other way.

Re: Pics of LR-308 rifle

Thats no good. No good at all. I have the same rifle with a Millett LRS-1 and the DPMS SASS grip with the palm shelf. My trigger is thanks to a good gun smith and saved me a bunch of money but its smoother then both of the jarads I've tried and lighter then my RRA 2 stage match in my M-4. I've looked at diffrent stocks but they want two arms and a left nut for those things.

For the PVS-14 what kind of mount were you looking at? I have a D-300 (same thing diffrent brand) and was looking at the rear attachment swing arm thing.

Re: Pics of LR-308 rifle

Thats a ways off for me right now, I was just looking. I still need to buy my handguard and prs stock, I cant stand the factory stock. I am trying to weigh the pros and cons between NV and a suppressor.

Re: Pics of LR-308 rifle

Suppressor will not help in the hunting department. Even with sub-sonic ammo you make enough noise to run the hogs or anything else off. The suppressor is great for shooting at the range when you dont want to blast the noise of the rifle and its cool to have one but the NV is next for me. I'd like to put the D760 on it and just buy another upper and put day optics on it with 20" barrel. Who knows where it will turn out.

Jacob, Stop buying that cheap glass and you will quit having problems. Save the coins and buy a better scope. The new Bushnell FFP Mil/Mil that CKA has on his AR-10 is about $800 and does well. You can buy a NF or something else here on the hide for good price. The optic is always more than the rifle and when you realize the value you will buy quality glass for it. Good Luck.

Re: Pics of LR-308 rifle

I can do it on pretty much anything. I have 3 different sizes of the wild hog. I have several different small ones. Hog, eagle, tiger, wolf and something else. I wanted the hog and got the rest included. Pm on the way.

Jawa which Seekins rings did you get?
I have the same upper and am looking for the lowest possible. I ordered the low set. Yours look quite high.

Out of curiosity how did you do the stencil? Did you bake the original finish on to cure it, then apply the stencil?

Re: Pics of LR-308 rifle

Ok, well I just installed the AR Gold trigger. It feels a million times better than the stock trigger. The first stage is extremely smooth, light(6oz.), and not to long. While the second stage is set at a very crisp 3pds. The only thing I worry about which I have not tested yet is, a light strike. I cant tell if it is hitting lighter or just more smooth in overall movement. I will update you guys on it after I take it to the range...In about two or three weeks, depending on how long it takes for the scope to get here.
