so i was as sears when i noticed "lady craftsman" tools simply called pink with pink handles.

first thing that came to my mind....wouldn't that be "craftswoman" but then thought that may led to visions of whores.

second thing that entered my mind.....a lady tool...huh, i got one of those.

third thing was....perhaps they should put pink handles on...

a spatula

a broom

a plunger

a mop

Re: pink tools at sears

Fact is, you probably won't take her seriously regardless what tools she shows up with. She'll have to prove herself just like all the rest of the nuggets, but with a higher level of detail and attention due to her gender in a highly male-dominated industry. So the least she can do is have her tools clearly marked to keep the rest of the 'senior' douchebag A&Ps from running off with her stuff.

I've only worked with a couple of females in the aviation industry, but my experience is that there are clowns in both genders. I have noticed that there seems to be a higher incidence of an entitlement mentality in the younger males than the younger females - only my experience, so take it with a grain of salt.

Re: pink tools at sears

My mom sent me a pink Snap-On ratcheting screwdriver when I became a Maintenance Officer/Maintenance Test Pilot. I asked her why, considering it looked gay as hell and cost well north of $100. She said "no one will steal it."

Still have it, still use it.
