A bad thing happened last month, I was at a LRSO shoot in Central Virginia and I had the pleasure of meeting Randy Wise while we were sighting in on Friday. He had a couple of chassis pistols that he was shooting and offered to let me shoot one, BIG mistake lol. It was an absolute dream to build. Then after he won the whole event with a 33 NOSLER pistol it go the wheels turning. I got home and opened up the CAD software and began the design. Attached is what I came up with, action is a Remington 700. I began machining last night and I will try to remember to post pictures.

Here's the chassis I built using a Savage 110 using a Kreiger blank I chambered in 7mm Rem Mag. Buttstock is a Accuracy International AIAX.

The one I am currently building will be a 15" barrel and no buttstock so technically it's a bolt action pistol.

I was able to work on the chassis a little today. I got the main part done. I need to do the trigger guard/ mag well next. Hopefully in the next week or so if things slow down.

Sorry I missed this. I have it designed for an AR style grip. I haven't decided exactly which one I will go with yet.

Thanks guys. I was working on the trigger guard this afternoon when the air compressor decided to seize up, can't run the mill without air so it'll be next week before I can finish it.

Decided to take a small portable air compressor to the shop today and finish the pistol chassis. I'm pleased with the way it turned out. As usual, there's a few changes I'll make to the next one, all cosmetic.

ATF semantics, that action has never been designated as a rifle has it? Once a rifle always a rifle. Just dont someone getting in trouble.
