What is a good pistol suppressor host?

I have a 22 LR Mark IV Hunter, and I've been thinking about getting it threaded. Or maybe just buying a new threaded Mark IV 22/45. Are there any better options?

What ammo do you run? I've been doing CCI SV on my CZ 457, would be nice to be able to use that for this too.

I run a bull barrel mkII that I had cut and threaded. It has Volquartson trigger, better target sights, etc. Can is a Dead air mask, nearly everything cycles the action and it is movie quiet with subs. I shoot all kinds of stuff through it. I don't have a favorite.

When I got my first can, I had it down to threaded versions of the ruger MK IV, browning buckmark and the new ( at the time ) S&W victory. I lean toward traditional style single action triggers and guns. I ended up finding a victory new and cheap ( $300 or so ) and it has been near 100% reliable with everything ( did have one type of ammo that choked it- but the same ammo gave me issues with other guns too) and near bullseye competition accurate. Great adjustable sights and a scope rail included if that is your thing. I have been very happy with it ( which is saying a lot for a guy who hates stainless guns)
I really wanted a ruger ( the factory is just 15 minutes from my house and sort of wanted to support local business and jobs) but the lease expensive ( again at the time) ruger available threaded was almost 200 bucks more than the victory, I have heard and seen lots of people saying they had to do a fair amount of tinkering to get the MKIV to run

I run a Volquartsen Scorpion and it is an amazing host. The DLC bolt keeps running even after several hundred suppressed rounds, it has a machined top rail for optics, it is accurate and has a mouse-click trigger. Huge fan. I solely run CCI SV suppressed and unsuppressed without any issues. Just buy bricks and enjoy.

In saying that, since you already have a MK IV pistol, I would consider a DLC bolt & Mamba upper from Volquartsen to swap onto your frame. You can always to the VQ trigger and have a great little host plinker.

These Ruger designs just run and Volquartsen's enhancements just make the whole package more fun.
