I owned its predecessor, the BAE UTB-X.

Frankly, it’s overrated for any civilian use. I never served, so militarily applications might be very different, but for a civilian hunter, there’s no meaningful benefit.

A N-Vision Halo has a surprisingly similar image, with factory support/warranty. I lived in the west, with WIDE open spaces and found NO benefit that a Halo or Halo XRF wouldn’t do better.

Don’t pursue it.

+3 on the above considerations. A lot of these military thermal spotters are designed with other features, IE GPS location, rangefinding, tactical system integration, etc. If you just need good image quality and an usable reticle the way to go is a high quality BAE core civilian unit. You will save $$$.
