Planning 3 Gun Match, need LR targets

I'm in the beginning stages of planning a local 3 gun match with capabilities to shoot out to 1000 yards. We have steel at 200 yard increments, but I'm worried we will not be able to hear them when there is fire going on throughout the facility.

Anyone have ideas of a way we can call shots on targets out to 600yards?

Use one RO as a spotter.

That's what the AMU did an Benning 3 Gun matches.

What were the distances at AMU and were those regular no reactive steel?

300-450 yards I believe. Reactive swing targets. Either way, the RO should be able to spot a hit with decent glass.
