Per my discussion with Frank, this thread is merely an open invitation to my brothers and sisters in Christ to join me in praying for the country that we love and the freedoms that so many of you warriors have fought to defend. Divisiveness will not be tolerated. It may be necessary to occasionally mention current events in the political sphere, but this thread will not be allowed to become a political discussion.

I want my children to be able to enjoy the same freedoms I grew up with. I want my family to be able to worship God without persecution. I highly value the right to keep and bear arms. Sadly, these values on which our country were founded may soon be under attack.

We find ourselves caught in a war between good and evil for the control of this nation. Many put their hope in a man who fought for us; for our religious freedoms; for our values. And now, the hope of many has crashed into despair. But a mere man was never going to be able to rescue America from the road she’s on. To be blunt, America is following the template for national judgement laid out in the book of Jeremiah -I’ll talk more about that later.

We need to come together and seek God with one accord, because we desperately need His help. Quite frankly, there is no one else who can help us. But it is also not hopeless. The Living God is a god of the impossible.

I plan to fast and pray for America several days between now and January 20, and I will begin by fasting and praying this Monday, January 11. Sadly, this type of prayer is not commonly taught in the church of today (which is part of how we got here), so some of you may be new to this. You do not have to fast to pray with us, but it is a very good thing and I will discuss why later. There are many ways to fast, but the simplest and most traditional is to simply eat nothing all day and drink only water. If you've never done it, just skip lunch and eat dinner after your prayer time. As your body gets used to skipping meals, it gets easier quickly. Obviously, don't stop taking your meds, and don't fast if you have a health condition that would make it unsafe.

I will write prayers which you can use as a starting point and I will post video content that will be helpful in understanding our current situation and how we need to pray. Please let me know if you would like to join me in praying for our country.

I admire and praise your good intent, in my own way I pray for our nation, our world, each day.

Ive read and studied the bible in depth and it repeatedly speaks of the dangers of the flesh without the spirit. Ive studied the Book of Revelation and IMHO its already laid out what is to come to pass, and again, my opinion is, that the time is near if not at hand. We finally have the technology/means to destroy our world I dont think any amount of prayer can change what is written, we will just have to ride it out and that will not be pleasant.

Prayer certainly cant hurt.

Most High God, please grant us the steel resolve You gave to those like Stephen, the first martyr for Your Son, to stand for biblical values and principals in the face of any adversity, whether it be us being made to be social pariahs, or it be death. We ask that You give us everything we need to defend our gifts of freedom and Liberty.

We ask that You forgive our nation for turning our face from You, kicking You out of our institutions, slaughtering innocent children, perverting the creation You made in Your own image, and worshipping the creation rather than the Creator. We ask you to heal our land before violence has a chance to spread any further.

Heavenly Father, there is a large remnant of those left in this land who serve Youand call on Your name. You spared Sodom and Gomorrah for a time for a much smaller contingent than this. We ask that You spare our nation now, and revive us. Renew us and help us to return to the biblical principals that our nation was founded upon. As our forefathers did, we now make our generation’s appeal to heaven.

We ask that You tear down the walls of deceit and break the chains of the oppressed.

I pray ultimately that Your will be done. AMEN

NO GUILT IN LIFE
NO FEAR IN DEATH
THIS IS THE POWER OF CHRIST IN ME

FROM LIFE’S FIRST CRY
TO FINAL BREATH
JESUS COMMANDS MY DESTINY

NO POWER OF HELL
NO SCHEME OF MAN
COULD EVER PLUCK ME FROM HIS HAND
TILL HE RETURNS
OR CALLS ME HOME
HERE IN THE POWER OF CHRIST I STAND

What we all need to do is Try to save as many souls as we possibly can, so many people are living blind, Many do not know about Gods grace! I am so proud and so Thankful to serve the one and only graceful God. There is only one God period. If any of you on the Hide wish to give your heart to the lord please repeat this simple prayer,

Lord God I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ, I am a sinner I confess all of my sins to you and ask for your forgiveness, I believe you died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead! I ask you into my life, my heart and my soul! I want to live my life for you, I pray this in your holy name, AMEN!!!!

Wow, powerful prayer, brother! Well done.

I saw a prayer in Congress the other day that ended with Amen--Awomen. I damn near cried and my blood pressure came up. They obviously never looked up the meaning of Amen.
I have been working on my prayers for this county for quite some time.
Yeah... I had to take a 5 minute walk away from the workstation after seeing that.

I pray for this country, first thing in the morning and last thing before bed.

If you think you may soon be in a war, you are wrong. The war is over. You lost. All you can pray for now is that the victors will be merciful or incompent.

I pray that God grant a full and happy life to my children. Amen

History shows us the future. As leftist policies impoverish nations ruling elites use scapegoats to escape blame. Then allow pogroms to vent the anger of the people.

As I understand both history and the bible, when people fail God they can expect to spend generations in the wilderness. I pray almighty father that this is not a punishment from you but rather a simple consequence of departing from your wise guidance. I beg your aid in setting America right. Amen

But if anyone thinks the war is over, they would do well to read 2 Samuel, chapters 15-18. It is the story of Absalom's treason and the plot to steal the throne of Israel. Seems oddly relevant.

The Bible tells us Absalom stole the hearts of all Israel by fraud. He unlawfully declared himself king. His support was so strong, it looked like the war was over. So fearing for his life and the lives of his supporters, David left his throne, his palace, and his city before Absalom arrived. Absalom not only made it into the palace, he was inaugurated by sleeping with the king's concubines in the sight of all Israel. Everyone on both sides believed the war was over. But David cried out to God. And God intervened. Absalom led an enormous force against David. David and his followers had been disenfranchised by fraud and theft of the throne. They were greatly outnumbered, and the enemy army had arrived to annihilate them. But God intervened. He caused the impossible to happen. "The people of Israel were overthrown there before the servants of David, and a great slaughter of twenty thousand took place there that day. For the battle was scattered over the face of the whole countryside, and the woods devoured more people that day than the sword devoured." Catch that last part? The woods devoured more than the sword? God caused the terrain to claim more enemy soldiers than David's men. Our God is a God of the impossible, and there are no limits to His power or what He may do for those who cry out to Him.

I greatly appreciate your hopeful and optmistic message. Many are the times that I have thanked God for President Trump, yet never before now have I considered comparing him to King David or to George Washington.

Perhaps I never knew, and perhaps I've just forgotten that part of King David's story. I thank you for the telling.

Yet the rational me cannot help but to notice that in the history Between the time of King David and today billions of people have lived and died under conditions of oppression far in excess of anything I actually expect our new Chineese masters to inflict on us. No doubt many of them prayed to god for salvation. But only a tiny few have been saved.

In the majority of those few saved God used as his agent not angels but the American military man.

I think this is up to us. I've taken steps to reduce my taxable income so as to not feed the monster. I don't believe protest will help us. Our enemy laughs at our protests. They just don't care about us. The protests they staged were tool they used to manipulate the narrative in their favor. Anyone not a fool knows Neither Biden nor Harris cared a whit about George Floyd.

Instead of protesting take a week off work and spend time with loved ones. Cancel a news paper and a cable package. Don't buy shit from China. Take every action you can take. Pray to improve your relationship with God. But God probably not coming to restore that which we have squandered.

I agree with nearly everything you are saying. We very likely are steaming headlong into a season of persecution and oppression for our beliefs and political standings. Everyone said this when Obama got elected, but this feels very different this time.

I don’t believe that God comes down and just fixes everything for us while we sit at home covering ourselves in Cheeto dust and binge watching TV. God requires us to be men of action and resolve. He requires us to do difficult and terrifying things. He requires us to tread paths that seem impossible to us. He forces us into situations that leave us with no choice but to place our hope and trust in him, because man will fail us every single time. God helps those who help themselves (and others, obviously.)

“My soul follows close behind You, Your right hand upholds me.” Ps 63:8

Our idea of Him intervening often times doesn’t match what His plan is. We can’t see anything past what is in front of our face, while He can see the whole timeline from beginning to end.

The church flourishes the greatest under persecution. So I guess the joke is ultimately on them, if they seek to stamp us out.

Today, I implore you men of God to read Psalm 18.

I'm in. Praying that corruption at Fed/State/local levels will be exposed, fear of God upon evildoers, and for the great end-time revival to start.

And to start things off, that "I" will come to repentence, be filled with the Holy Spirit, be exactly where God wants me to be, in order to do/be whatever it is the Lord wants for me.

Ok, so in order to approach God with one accord, we all need to be on the same page. This post is so everyone understands what we're really up against.

Throughout history, nations rise and fall. But in the history of the world, there have only been TWO nations to be in a covenantal relationship with Almighty God: Israel and the USA. God liberated a bunch of slaves with no weapons and no training, brought them to a land inhabited by giants, and enabled them to take the land by force -an impossible feat. He made a covenant with them, that if they would keep His ways and obey Him, He would bless their nation, but if they turned away from Him, they would bring judgement and destruction upon themselves. They eventually turned away. The book of Jeremiah makes clear that God finally removed His hand of protection and sent them a stern warning by allowing them to be attacked. Then He gave them a grace period to repent and turn back to Him. The grace period was 19 years. Then God brought "shakings" upon them -a plague and other events that sent fear and turmoil into their land. These shakings were not the judgment of God, but a final warning to "shake" them awake and cause them to return to God. They did not return, God brought war upon them, destroyed their nation, and they were carried off into captivity.

America was founded in-part by people who were seeking a place to worship God freely. In the Mayflower Compact, they made a covenant with God that the purpose for this new civilization was for the glory of God and the advancement of the gospel. Later, George Washington (who had a strong prayer life) led a small, impoverished, underequipped army of poorly trained colonists to defeat the world military superpower of that day -an impossible feat. On his first day in office as president, he officially consecrated America to God on April 30, 1789 at the inaugural meeting of America's government, in New York City. In his prayer over the new nation, he warned that if we ever turned away from God, God would remove His protections, blessings, and prosperity from our nation. Our warning came on September 11, 2001 at the very place America was consecrated to God. This was followed by years of calm. Then came our year of shakings. Anyone care to guess how many years passed between 2001 and 2020? 19 years -just like with Israel.

So the purpose of this endeavor to get fellow believers together to set our face toward God and fast and pray like Daniel is not to simply be rescued from this immediate political turmoil. It is to save our nation from destruction because according to the template of national judgment in Jeremiah, the time of judgment is almost upon us.

I fear that if this new administration comes to pass (and of course it looks inevitable), then the agenda they have promised to advance will seal our nation's fate. But don't think God can't intervene. Even if God chooses to overturn the election and bring all corrupt politicians to justice, it still would not be as big a miracle as the founding of this nation. So let that sink in. There is hope.

This is a truly earth-shattering lecture/sermon from Jonathan Cahn on the subject back in September. He is a messianic Jew (a Jew who believes in Jesus as messiah), and probably the most brilliant and God-fearing Bible scholar and historian alive. Here, he lays out in far greater detail the parallels between ancient Israel and America and the biblical template of national judgment.

I was studying this story just recently. I don't know what is going to happen...but one thing I have become more and more convinced of as I get older and hopefully wiser, is that God is absolutely sovereign.

I am praying for all deception to be laid bare, for the enemies of God to be scattered and for God to be glorified.

I pray daily for our country, leaders, and my family! Our current situation is nothing more than a battle between good and evil. Truly we all know how it ends even though it may seem that evil has the upper hand!

Good luck with that one.

I'm not mocking anyone ... just confused by the context. It is what it is. God help us all with the craziness going on now.

Many have been praying since long before the election. The current political events are not the TOPIC of discussion here; they are simply the REASON for the new found urgency of many joining us in prayer.

While not in any way saying that Praying is not important,

Be sure you don't fall into the common trap where people spend all their time praying and waiting for something to come fix the problem instead of fixing it yourself.

Don't waste time praying for a quick fix solution to the result of 100+ years of the good people forgetting God and what is right and worshiping the law they made up, it's not going to happen.

Instead pray for wisdom, guidance, strength, resolve and tireless dedication for yourself and others like you to do the difficult task of essentially starting over from scratch and having to fight back at every level, in battle for the hearts and minds of humans, then get out and start working on it.

Ok, so some of you have PM'd me asking if we could start the group prayer and fasting sooner. YES, of course!

The current course of our nation demands that we DILIGENTLY seek God. This will not be a one-and-done group prayer. Daniel "set his face toward God" and began to fast and pray, which he did every day for 3 weeks straight before he got an answer. We should be praying EVERY day for our country, but fasting is tough. I'm not asking anyone to fast from now straight through to January 20. But If you want to begin fasting today, do it! Do whatever God lays on your heart to do!

We will keep the original date of Monday, but we will now add Sunday as well, and invite as many of you as want to start fasting Sunday to do so. If you are new to fasting, don't worry, I will touch on the what, why, and how before we begin. I'm so glad to see so many wanting to do this and to see such enthusiasm.

The original reason I chose Monday as opposed to any other day of the week is this: I've been on a nationwide prayer call every Monday night at 8:30 EST that began weeks before the election. After Nov 3, we decided to keep doing the call. I thought that since we here are praying and fasting together, some of you may also want to be in on the call. Totally up to you, but the call is not my main focus; I'm just extending the invitation. Gathering Hide members together to pray is what God has laid on my heart to do, so that is my main focus.

Abba Elohim, we come before you today as your humble servants, seeking your guidance and blessing through all things.

We praise you for your steadfast love, mercy, grace, kindness, and forgiveness through the riches and glory of our Savior Yeshua Hamashiach.

Lord, we pray that you fill us with your Holy Spirit, that we come to the full knowledge of your will for our lives, that we may have discernment and understanding, for power and authority in your Holy name, for peace and forgiveness, and for strength and courage to obey your voice in all that you command us to do. Let us not be fearful or dismayed, for we know that you are with us wherever we go.

Lord, we know that you are sovereign over all of creation, and pray that your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. We pray for your divine protection and blessing as we face these uncertain times, and ask that you draw us all closer to you.

Father God, we pray for our brothers in Christ, and lift them up to you, that you may bless them and guide them and lead them to be the light that no darkness can overcome. We pray that you continue your good work in all of them, to be conformed to the likeness of your Son.

Lord, you know what we need before we ask... We pray that you cleanse us from all unrighteousness that we may receive your blessings and the courage to walk the path that you would set before each of us.

Let us not shrink from your call Holy God

We pray all of these things in Yeshua's holy name, Amein

I’am a follower in Christ. I bend my knees and pray daily. For my own salvation, this country, and the salvation of others.

However, I do know that prayer does NOT work without action on your part. God does not answer empty prayers. Are these prayers empty? Not at all. But what are we going to do, just keep praying that things will magically change for the better without BIG action from Americans? Not going to happen.

Wars were not won on your knees. As Robin Hood told the servant...”Get Off your damn knees!”

I've seen a few posts that have basically said, "God helps those who help themselves!"

This is not true and not biblical. It is true that God often calls men to action, but God calls those who are willing to wait upon His direction. Don't go getting ahead of God, it won't work out well.

As often as Israel was used actively by God, it was just as often that HE went before them and won the battle Himself for them to witness His power and provision.

God helps those who have come to the end of themselves.

Talk of prayer is good. Talk of good deeds is good. Talk of worship is good. However, what about the difficult conversations? Those which are not conducted in an echo chamber? What about actually behaving as God would have us behave? Will you stand with anyone if it inconveniences you or causes risk to you in the slightest? The real issue is that people are content to hide their belief in God in order to avoid persecution from those that do not. Recently, friends of mine, people that I thought were extremely strong in their faith, refused to be seen publicly having anything to do with God.

It is by this mechanism which men of moral standing continue to allow our position to be attacked and eroded.

In my pursuit of the truth and my subsequent desire for others to follow it, I've been attacked and persecuted repeatedly. I continue to be. Recently we offered a discount on our priming tools to people that put a bible verse in the comments during checkout. People on this very forum are making fun of it and trying to attack me over it. I feel sorry for them. Only a truly disturbed person could try to use our kindness to try and disparage me. The kind of hollow lives they must lead, must be difficult. The point here is that it's our JOB to be persecuted for fighting for the truth. There will always be lesser men trying to tear us down, but standing firm for the truth is the trial we are to embrace. If you've read the bible even the slightest bit... you know that adherence to the truth does not insulate you from persecution. Rather, it invites persecution. It draws out the ire of anyone NOT living correctly and they will use any and all means to silence you.

The majority of the people that would attack you, don't think they are wrong. They don't think they are evil, and they probably aren't. They lack the experience to have any real perspective, and so they feel justified in doing anything they want to you. They aren't the enemy, but they are certainly doing the work for the enemy. This makes things interesting. How do you have an intelligent discussion with someone that has made the decision to hate you regardless of the facts?

That's what we're up against as Christians. If you share a truth with someone that isn't ready for it or disagrees with it, they will get angry and possibly attack you. The subject doesn't matter. This is the nature of modern society. They can justify virtually any behavior once they have discovered they disagree with you. If they disagree with you about "anything" they will use that as justification to disagree with you about everything. People with no experience can hop on a website anonymously and shout down someone with 60 years of expertise.

Until people are willing to make small decisions in their lives to seek and adhere to truth, there can be no expectation that they'll make large decisions to the same end. In order for God to work through us, we must seek truth with no thought of ourselves other than to follow the truth. Prayer is good, but if you fail to recognize every opportunity to perform good works that He sets in front of you... then nothing positive can be accomplished. All of my efforts are spent to that end.

Applying pressure on people to improve does not create popularity. Talking about a message that is appealing to the most people, that is how you become popular. Make your choice, but have no illusions. You can adhere strictly to the truth, but don't expect to be well liked or popular as a result. Until something drastic chances in the world, the more strictly you adhere to the truth, the more viciously you'll be attacked.

Having attended a lot of chuches in my search for the truth I got burned out on those long prayers. My prayer is really simple. I do my best to keep MY nose on the straight and narrow and live by:

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

If we all did that there would be no need for prayer, like Enoch, we would walk with God and be no more (in this realm).

A brother recently confessed he had a hard time stepping out and testifying in the name of the Lord, and asked how I found the courage to to do so.

Easy. The day I stopped caring what the world thought of me, was the day it starting flowing.

I was raised around and to this day, work with "rough" men. Heathens, but I know God loves them too and wants them to be saved.

One day, I heard the typical JFC! from another room where a guy was setting tile. Then I hear "why does God hate me?"

So, I go over, and he's effing up major league. I pulled the bad tile and smiled. I tell him, try this instead... He's expecting tile setting advice though. I tell him, God doesn't hate you, but taking his Son's name in vain is pretty high on the list of the thou shalt nots. Try asking Him for help instead of using his name to curse. Just try it, what have you got to lose? Dude gives me the mmmhmmm look but I can tell he's just desperate enough not to argue.

Anyway, later that day, I go check on him, because it's been quiet. His tile looks perfect, and he looks up and says "you know that thing you were talking about? Yeah, might've worked..." We both smiled.

You don't have to preach, beat people over the head with Scripture, or finish every sentence with "praise the Lord" to be effective for the Kingdom.

But you have to step up, be consistent, and set an example. And it sure ain't me doing it, but Christ in me. Thank you Jesus.

What is the greatest comandment? "To love The Lord Your God with all of your heart, soul and mind. The second is like it: To love your neighbor as yourself. All the law and all the prophets hang on these two commandments" Matthew 22: 34-40.

And this one which I have trouble with right now. I have to remind myself to hate the system(s) and not the players themselves.

1 John 4:20

“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

Good story. My foul mouth is an item I need to work on...a lot. A good story deserves a good story.

When I was still quite young in my walk I was building a slate patio for a guy. We were almost done, grouting the mortar joints, and real quickly a thunderstorm blew up. I said to the owner of the home and my helper(Since it was near 40 years ago this is paraphrased) "With the authority vested in me by Christ I say that it will not rain on this job until we finish and have it covered. It may rain on the lawn next door or behind us but not one drop will fall her. Do I hear an agreement?" My helper said "Agree".

It rained like crazy...all around us but not a drop hit the work. When I finished, and had it covered up, it poured. The owner gave me a really funny look when he brought out the check.

Same! Got me a mouth I need to work on myself.

I'm not mocking anyone ... just confused by the context. It is what it is. God help us all with the craziness going on now.

I think his is a valid thought.

By my understanding, the Almighty is no respecter of persons or nations including ours. Its plan is much greater, much higher. If it serves its plan to have America fail and us all become slaves, that what will happen. While I have no compunction with praying for our nation, I think the higher path to be pray for God's will to be done in earth as in heaven and that ALL turn from the flesh to return to God/Love. All, not just America.

Agreed. God's people endured harsh times brought about by their iniquities. America is no different.

I make no assumptions we'll be "saved" from any of what looks like is coming, but hopefully spared the harshest sting of the rod that could be wielded.

I've led a blessed life, and am grateful. If hard times are in the plan, then so be it. Courage is bravery that's said it's prayers. Or something like that 😉
