I understand the frustration and anger with the current situation. Hitting the Pause button on the Constitution and then hoping we can restart it at a convenient time in the near future does not sound like the most attractive solution.

I wonder which side would want to push this idea most this early. Definitely reinforces the idea that Trump needs a hail marry.

Destroying the Constitution to save the Constitution makes zero sense. Declaration of martial law the Civil War, not the prevention of one. No one branch of the USG gets to act unilaterally.
