Problem with the PMAGs is they have an internal divider/rib along the front edge. I've looked into knocking it out with a chisel or a belt grinder (latter would be preferable) however you'd need a 1/4" belt and the thinnest I could find was a 1/2".

I've made the Gen 1's work via the method that MidwestPX mentioned, I think the guide in the Gen 2's was discontinued.

If you knock that out of there you can make them work for both the 223's and 458 without issue. A friend of mine (STRICK9) does it routinely.
