I was getting .5 MOA yesterday with it, but it's probably capable of better, if I can get a little more stable. Each group had multiple rounds in the same hole @ 100. Gonna try a buttstock monopod next to try to eliminate a little more fine movement.

Definitely an impressive rifle with the NP3 coatings, the massive heat sink around the chamber, the way Frank designed the op rod guidance, roller cam pin, the simplicity of the piston design, the absence of any unnecessary springs or gas rings where heat is a threat, etc. Lots of engineering in that rifle toward max reliability. I'm impressed. Miles ahead of the old Knight's SR-25's I was helping develop in the 1990's.

Love that setup!

I have a very similar set up to your POF rifle.

Mine is in .308 and with the MMR rail instead of the newer Hunter rail.

Love the Vltor MODPOD as well as the PRS stock!

Re: POF 6.5 Creedmoor

What is that tripod for the laser range finder? I wonder if it could be used with a Leica LRF? If so I need one.

This is "Sniper's Hide" right? Not casual weekend shooter's hide, or hunting enthusiast's hide?

Just busting your chops, cuz it seems like any sniper should know that.

The fixture on the objective lens is just to reduce the visual signature of the "big, perfectly-round black hole" appearance of the spotting scope as viewed by your enemy. That, along with a kill-flash can go a long way toward protecting your position from compromise.

That's a Hog Saddle for the rifle. I was trying it on a smaller tripod for moving targets to see if it was easier to track with. It would work for the LRF, though. I got that through Precision Rifle Solutions. http://www.precisionriflesolutions.com/apps/webstore/

To be honest, I can't really find a bipod I'm completely satisfied with. I do like the Harris shorty, as well as the Vltor (pictured) and the Tangodown, which I use most. I had Jeff cut me down one of his from Tangodown to get me as low as I like to be with the 20-round mag rifles.

I'm not at liberty to give details, but look for a new bipod soon through Tangodown and Vltor. Those guys are up to some good stuff.

Re: POF 6.5 Creedmoor

Thanks guys. I'm really liking this POF in the 6.5 Creedmoor, especially after shooting a cigarette butt in half with it on a Japanese TV show 2 weeks ago!! Was a fun production. Will post a link when it airs for anyone who's interested.

I got one recently and it works nicely. Would love to have a Hogsaddle too though.

I got bored the other day and took my P308 apart to check out all of the pieces and see how it works. There are not a lot of them but these are some fine parts and all the NP3 is like butter. The machine work looks flawless. There is a big difference between it and my DI Sundevil/Vltor 5.56 which is nice but not like the POF.

I have piled up a few spare parts but it seems like it is built really well and I won't need them anytime soon. Almost every single part is one piece machined billet and NP3 coated or case hardened and Nitrate heat treated like the barrel.

Saw, I'd watch it ^
