I'm running an M4-2008 can on a Bushmaster. The only mods to this gun are an LMT BCG and a 13.8 free floating Troy rail. I have the gun zeroed with no can using a 14X Leupold and shooting at 100 yards. But when the can is attached the rounds shift to the 5 o'clock approx. 5-6 inches.
With the gun firmly resting on a bipod and reag bag. The M4 profile barrel droop/sag is clearly noticable when can is carefully hung on the QD mount. My question is this usual... acceptable....common? What should I expect? How can this be fixed? I'm not sure if the flex is coming from the barrel itself or the upper is not rigid enough. This is quite frustrating.
I will say that I do not have this problem with my 10.5 LMT MRP. So something is going on with the Bushmaster setup.
