Police chaplain accused of raping 8 year old girl, god damn it fuck this pos needs to burn

The Devil is truly abroad in this world and it's going to take more than an Inquisition to clean it up again. That needs to be a textbook death penalty case right there. Every appeal rejected. Warden's phone rings at midnight or 6pm. Governor on the other line telling him to "send that SOB outta here". BZZZT, or BANG BANG, up to the condemned.

I like. Watch the transformation on the animal's face when the phone rings, followed by the "Oh, fuck" expression and urine running down his leg.

The video didn't mention the Chaplain's denomination. Not that it really matters but I was always "sus" of Roman Catholic priests and their "Vow of Celibacy" being a bit of a factor. I grew up a Protestant. Sang as a boy in my church choir (all men & boys). Dealt with many clergy/choirmaster types as well as fellow adult singers. Never had a problem. Didn't even think about it. Still, the "control/position of trust" thing is probably a greater factor.

This is one of the few crimes, other than Murder, that I think merits "Capital Punishment" status. That kid is scarred for life, as if they were dead. It's just as horrific for an adult victim but, hopefully, the "maturity of adulthood" gives them some fighting tools. A kid has none.

Happens in any and all denominations - catholics were likely the worst driven by the whole celibacy and general weirdness about sexuality thing. Other denominations continue to sweep it under the rug.

Call it a "crisis of faith" and a couple of sermons about weakness of the flesh and forgiveness and he'll be fine...

I agree it happens in other denominations and other religions. But it just seemed that the "celibacy" thing made it stand out like a sore thumb for Catholics. How many others practice a vow of celibacy? And, perhaps, it's true that other religions/denominations may be better at "sweeping it under the rug." If it ever did happen at my childhood church, then they were really good at sweeping it. Never heard a peep... and as a choir member, we'd be the first to hear.

Happened in the baptist church my family attended - twice. A collision of blind "faith", excess trust in those that hid behind the "power" given them by too many in the congregation, and an air of superiority. Even the humility of the perpetrator was an expression of ego - sickening. Churches are THE ideal hiding place for pedophiles.

My family left that church.

Precisely. Like I said, "Position of Trust." Same thing with some of the things we hear about the "Scouts" or School Teachers, Guidance & Camp Counselors, etc.. All positions of trust. Any why a lot of State laws consider it "Statutory Rape" if it involves a couple (albeit "consenting" (ie, "eligible" to consent)) that are in a "position of trust" relationship. The PRNJ (my former State) defines their "Incest" law as being "any consenting couple related by blood or 'affinity'..." "Affinity" (in this context) being "in-laws," "Adopted," or "Positions of Trust." And "by blood," they mean from first through 3rd cousins. 4th cousins are good to go.
