    ......car windows.

This poor cop had his rights violated by the criminal. How dare he operate a window without permission from an agent of the state. How dare the father watch 30 feet away and interfere by peaceful observation of his criminal son being arrested for Glasticular Operations of Automatic Device Without State Agent Permission. May god have mercy on this crime family operation of fully automatic windo devices. I’m glad these brave officers are out here keeping trash like this off the streets.

One day and hopefully soon, people will realize that the police of a corrupt gov’t are adversaries. Think about the current state of affairs and understand that police, not politicians are responsible for it. Politicians are powerless without them. They force the agenda of evil men onto the people while protecting the corrupt ruling class.

Tranny dancing and shaking their weiners at kids, better not stop this evil because if you are found out the police will arrest you or kill you if resisted. Drug dealer in your neighborhood, better not rid the streets of him making your community safe because if you are found out the police will arrest you or kill you if resisted. Defend the border against foreign invasion of rapists and murders, better not fight for your countries sovereignty because if found out the police will arrest you or kill you if resisted. I can go on and on how this professions “public safety” narrative is a sham. They are what gives gov’t its power over you. Nothing more. They work for gov’t against the people.

Of course, we don't know the WHOLE story, but it appears each of three cops needed a good throat punch and kick in the balls. I guess that's how they're trained, today.

WTF? The kid got out and did what he was told. The dad got out and did what he was told, then gets pepper sprayed because he's videoing?
Wonder what the follow up to this is? The cops at fault? Or is the family a bunch of repeat criminals?

You saw the whole story. Lmao. I’m still waiting on these “good cops” to speak up about this. I know they are here.
This is what I want to know. I want to know where these "good cops" are that just sit by while these terrorist do this crap people.

You know I'm with you in spirit and damn near with you totally, and get closer every day.

That said, what do you propose "we" do? I totally agree with everything in this post, and this is exactly why the perception of police has changed so drastically in recent years. But what do we do?

But how do we separate the wheat from the chaff?

    P

"WE" can't. THEY have to do that. No more than we can solve other cultural problems for other groups, do we have the ability to sort out the good cops from the bad ones. The cops themselves SHOULD HAVE ALREADY DONE IT, AND THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN DO THAT. Bad news is, they won't. "My pension" .... "just doing my job", "you don't see all the good we do"......ect.... just doesn't cut it.

It's so ironic that the cops all creep up to the vehicle for their safety until the see what they are dealing with, but if you do the same thing, you are being suspicious and that's a reason to then detain you..... Do cops actually not realize that people are very suspicious of them and what they will do whether they are guilty of anything or not???

It’s ok, the good cops will hop in here and denounce them and make sure they never work in LE again. I promise.

I’m still waiting for the “good cops” do DO THEIR JOB and arrest the bad ones

Remember covid? Remember all the anti freedom anti constitutional BS like businesses being shut down by police and paddle boarders arrested? I saw TikTok’s of cops making silly cute videos, but I don’t recall ONE video of a cop arresting, or even stopping, another cop from doing unconstitutional BS

Another forum I frequent was discussing the kid shot at McDonalds. What a long time officer had to say about the current state of things.

Remove QI and it solves itself.

I worked a VERY technically demanding armed position for the govt for a while and we didn't have it.

We got along just fine and in much more challenging environments than these cops. Of course, we were properly selected and were actually paid the wage you need to pay to get competent, Street smart, and pro level shooters to work for you.

Fuck those idiot cops. They 1000% made their own situation worse. Their behavior is what drove people like me out of law enforcement. Fucking knuckle draggers.

Qualified immunity needs to go away for cops, legislators, and judges. They need consequences for their actions just like everyone else.

At minimum, both these fuck sticks need to be prosecuted for Assault Under Color of Authority, false imprisonment, and civilly for the same in what they did to the dad who was standing on a public sidewalk taking video with the cell phone.

Fucking pathetic display of decision making, knowledge of law, and case law reference reasonable suspicion and detention.

So this right here is fundamentally the problem - you get "a few bad apples", they screw up, the situation becomes untenable for the good guys, and the good guys bail. There's no effective feedback loop to quash bad behavior. Not hating on you, BTW - it's a systemic problem that management needs to fix.

No offense taken. I understand your point.

Fuck management too. They a bunch of limp dicks who are promoted via institutional inbreeding and perpetuate the exact same problems they despised when they were lower in the ranks.

Good people get pushed out because they try to right the ship, but the "system" won't let them, because.

And all you have left are the losers..... eventually that leads to.....

    What's that book called....??

Even if they are repeat offenders...

is the father committing, or even resembling behavior of commiting, a crime by standing calmly on a public sidewalk 30 feet away taking a video of something in public?

No. At most the cop can consensual contact, ask for the father to voluntatily leave, etc... no basis to detain in any way shape, or form.

If that's the Daniel Shaver video, the cop had no charges filed against him and still works as a cop.
If I give my opinion of what should happen to him I'd get a knock on the door.

In August 2018, Brailsford was reinstated by the Mesa Police Department, staying for a further 42 days in what the department described as a "budget position". The department agreed to reimburse Brailsford for medical expenses related to his post-traumatic stress disorder -- the result of his shooting of Shaver and the resultant criminal trial. The reinstatement allowed Brailsford to apply for "accidental disability" experienced during the course of work. As a result, Brailsford was unanimously approved to be retired on medical grounds. Brailsford was also given a pension of $2,500 per month. The fact that Brailsford was ultimately medically retired instead of remaining fired was only revealed to the public in July 2019.[36][37][38

That book is a tough read and im not squeamish at all.

The "good cop" showed up in the latter half of the video. Other cop points to guy standing on the far sidewalk, doing nothing, maintaining distance, "arrest that guy!" "For what?" he asks..."for blocking the roadway." Hurr durr, OK...proceeds to grapple and cuff him, no question. Lemming mentality...just doing whatever another guy on "my team" says and does, no matter what.

Someone mentioned they need a throat punch. I'm inclined to agree. Where the fuck is this?

    Keller, Texas.

    Chief called victim and apologized.

The arresting Ofc., a SGT. was demoted, the other Ofc. was not disciplined because he was following his Sgt.'s orders.

The victim did not want the officers fired.

    He is suing.
