How many of you are getting political texts with links to surveys and crap from people? I just got one from Donald Trump Jr. saying they need my help and to go complete surveys and junk. I don’t click on links that don’t come from a known source. As much as I am kind of curious, it’s not happening. Do you guys have some trusted ways of verifying stuff or are you like me and just ignore?

I get texts from winred frequently... Usually for Trump or Cruz, but I assume those donations go straight to RNC which spends money actually trying to stop Trump endorsed candidates... Not a fucking chance.

Just e-mail, my wife has her cell so if there are any family emergency they all call her.
I still stay in contact with some but have none of the distraction or irritations of a cell phone.
It irritates my wife sometimes not being able to call me while I'm out but I can live with that.

no cell. land line only and i get a lot of BS calls. let them go to voice,sometimes then delete or just pick up and immediately hang up. regular email and am getting increasing #s of BS mails bypassing junk box. i just delete them. i get at least 6 pol paper junk daily in the mail box. big contribution to solid waste. i anticipate the increase will be lg. if not for such junk mail usps would be more bankrupt than they already are.

They ask me if that is what I had listed it for. I said no, I did not have it listed but they were asking the price and I gave it to them. This happened a few times and then they quit calling.

I have a back up number, it was the old land line number that I got when I had a home security/dsl. I ported it to a cell when I got divorced just because the ex wanted to keep it and I wanted to be a dick.

I literally have not used it for anything except as a hotspot in the last 10yrs. It blew up about 3 months ago, I keep it on a charger cord and it asked for an update, I checked the messages out of habit and there were thousands from both parties. It took me 2 - 3 weeks of blocking numbers to slow the tide, but it still receives 1 - 2 a day.

I contacted the carrier about privatizing(sp?) the line or eliminating texts altogether and they said good luck, it was probably because of a data breach somewhere. It was originally a SBC/AT&T number/carrier issued line.
