I took my 10/22 out to the 200 yard range today with the goal of hitting a pop can at 200 yards with my new Simmons Pro Target 3-9x40 scope. I zeroed at 50 yards and tried out a can at 100. I hit it on the third try. I then put another can at what I thought was 200 and missed my first 10 shots. I borrowed a laser range finder and figured out the back wall was actually 215. I dialed in 21 MOA and nailed it on the first shot.

I've read on here that a stock 10/22 is a 4MOA gun. Is this pretty in line with what you're able to do with your 10/22? I shot a 10 shot group at the same range that was less than 3 1/2 inches.

My gun is stock except for a Tapco stock that free floats the barrel.

if Ruger cut the chamber and crown better it would run with stock mkII's. there are a few companies that perform this service and they shoot lights out. my stock barrel was useless past 50. swapped it for a Green Mountain and havent looked back!

Just started to play with my 10-22 target. At 100 yds the only time I shot it we were getting about 2" or so groups with it. I was impressed till one bullet didnt exit the muzzle so now I got a $400 club. Guess I need to look into replacing the bbl. Good luck with yours

I use a suppressed 10/22 to whack cats, squirrels and ground hogs upwards of 50 yards out and most of the time I can do clean head shots (10x Leupold scope). That's accurate enough for what I do with it.

Have a friend who regularly whacks said critters out to 400 yards with an integrally suppressed 10/22.

I think these guns are very intrinsically accurate.

I have a custom built 22. Shoots junk ammo like crap and match ammo well.
I have on occasion gotten ragged hole groups at 50 yards.
100 yards with a 22 isnt a fair test of accuracy Ive learned. The bullets cant be trusted much past 50.

Not that you cant hit the hell out of crows/cats/coons at 200+
But ya past 100 yards I think most 22 ammo is 3 or 4MOA

My stock 10/22 target has made hits on mini prairie dogs at 145 yards in southern Oregon. Wind is a bitch with the 22long rifle. We had 250 yards but couldn't get the wind to cooperate. The 22Magnum extended hits to 180 yards. JPG
