So before I drop the money on a project. I have the chance to put up a used cz455 at a good price.... if I snag a manners, put a factory 22lr or a lilja on it... would it have as much accuracy potential as a precision trainer from the factory with the manners? or have as much accuracy potential as one in a manners with a lilja? or am I missing something?

I did a search and came up with some. But not what I was looking for

My understanding is all the 455's are the same barreled action, just a different stock. As long as the used action is not damaged, I would say yes to the potential accuracy is the same. New or used, bed/pillar the stock and trigger work or a replacement trigger.

Well you can get a shorter and threaded barrel or a longer and non-threaded but the action is the same.

I am in the process of a CZ455 build but not to the point of shooting it yet. Before you go in for a Manners you may want to take a look at the Boyd's AT-One. I was surprised to see they inlet that stock for the 455 and it came very quickly. The stock is a nice hard laminate and has some great features. They include adjustable LOP and cheek and ability to change the oversold fore end and pistol grip size. It cost just over $200 and that included shipping and the target fore end and grip.
My barrel came from F.J. Fedderson. Have not shot it yet but scoping it shows a very nice smooth bore and crown. It is threaded 12x28 at 16.25" and included a thread protector, again under $200.
I have a Mr. Fly two-stage trigger on the way and already installed a DIP 20MOA pic rail. Go to my thread to see what it looks like.

I appreciate the heads up... but I'm looking for a tack driving trainer... for 3 reason... cheap practice for my 338 LM and my 308 win.. and they are both rocking manners t4a.... so the t4 for the cz would literally be the same feel... and he other reason is to deal with corn thief's at my feeders..... when you post some pics of how that barrel shoots ill figure out what barrel to go with... but right now its going to be hard to beat lilja

If ultimate accuracy is the goal, a custom fitted barrel permanently attached is the only way to get it. A lilja with a setback to make headspace perfect with all supporting modifications done correctly with it is usually good for .2's-.3's. The new ones have Benz chambers so .3's at best is what to hope for. A feddersen will be more like 1/2" if your lucky on the 455 platform.

Here is a manners T4 build I finished a couple weeks ago with a custom fitted barrel.

I hope you mean 1/2' @ 100 yards for that Fedderson. ;)
