Okay guys, here is the deal. I talked to Carson at Lillja today about a group buy for Tikka T1x barrels. It looks like we will need a total of at least 20 with a per unit cost of $375 shipped. This is for a 16”-20” .90 straight barrel. I’m guessing there is some flexibility on the size. I also believe threading or additional work can be added if you want. The way it would work is I will set up the group buy and we will each call him directly and purchase the barrels. Once he has the whole groups orders they will cut them and ship them out individually. This way everyone is dealing directly with Lillja and gets their barrel directly from Lillja just with a group discount. I will go down to the group buy section and talk to the mods about the process of posting this if it looks like we have enough interest. At this point I simply don’t know if there are 20 guys here interested in a new barrel and don’t want to spend a bunch of time making arrangements if this will never get off the ground. I also think a lot of guys never get down to the group buy forum and unless I mention it here first most of us will never see it. My request was for 22LR but I’m guessing they could probably work 17hmr in there also but I’m not positive. If you are interested let me know. If it looks like we have enough interest I will talk to the mods here then call and make it official with Lillja. At that point we can all start calling and placing our official orders with specs. If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them or get an answer from Lillja for you. Hope this can work out. If it does we will be able to get something that simply isn’t available without going custom and at a significant savings.
