I like it but the manufacturer of the screen wont work with me to make a version in the size most guys want. I manually cut the screen down and 3D printed the housing but that is not ideal for mass production
Well, I think the mass production is taken care of now. I put a link in the video of the exact unit I got, but you can get these for about $4 a unit. $11 for the one I demoed.
A little bit too large for me. I like a smaller footprint. But it is definitely better than the boogie board option I cut my version down from.
Amazon has dozens of different models available now. It’s nice that they are so cheap. Practically disposable.
Seems like a good idea, I snagged one to try out. Always wanted to try the Down Range Systems E-dope and still may someday.
I use the DRS after going from arm board, kestrel hud, hawkhill holder with white board cards, paper, etc. The DRS is great. Can’t recommend it enough.

I'm going to give it a go and see how I like it. It's a little bit bigger than I'd hope for, but the cards are a little bit smaller than I like also.

Lol ok sorry @308pirate I don’t hate that armband. Don’t like it either. I ran across that pic and needed an excuse to use it. Cracks me up.
I just want a fucking arm band that I can write on (elevation and 3-4 wind holds), is NOT dry erase, doesn’t require me to poke a fucking flimsy paper card into a plastic sleeve, and will adjust enough to fit over coat sleeves. Am I asking for too much?
If you're good with "wet erase" than Armageddon Gear sells their armbands and also the velcro-backed whiteboards by themselves. I used them today during a rainy PRS match and the ink stayed on perfectly (comes off with an alcohol wipe.)
I’ll take a look at them. I shot a match today and used the LCD writing pad that is shown in the first post here. I used an arm/wrist band phone holder I got off Amazon to hold it on my arm. It actually worked like a fucking champ all day. Had 3 different people ask me about it.

So, riffing off of @308pirate ’s underwater diver slate idea, here is a scrolling slate! Pretty cool in that you have 8ft of writing surface on your wrist. If you’re shooting multiple calibers you could have multiple DOPE on your wrist as well as an illustrated range card, a drawn map back to camp, the phone number of that hot chick at stage 5, your porny drawings of said chick, or whatever.
