    Greetings all:

Rather peculiar optics question. I have gone through a few NFs and loved all of them in their own way. 2.5-10x32, 5.5-22x56, MilSpec 3.5-15x50. The 2.5 and 5.5 had NP-R1 reticules and the Mil Spec has a MLR 1.0. Great reticle I really love it but my only qual is that at max power (15x) the cross hairs are too thick. Does anyone know of a comporable scope that has similar features and a thinner reticle? Or is this what you get when it comes to FFP? I understand that they have to be thick @ 15x so they can be visible @ 3.5x.

    Any recommended upgrades?

Maybe a S&B P4f. The 4-16 usually moves at very fair prices because the 3-20 sort of killed that market!

The reticle is really thin ... way too thin for my tastes but it works.

I'd recommend an S&B H2CMR. It seems to be a great balance of being able to use it a lower powers, but not being too thick for precise shot placement. Its somewhere between the P4 and P4F.

Tyler I believe it's the same as the P4F.

OP what you shooting at with the NF? I ran one with the old MLR reticle a few years back and had no troubles getting a good sight picture on a 5" dot at 1000 yards at a match.

You're right, Rob. I just looked it up, both .035 mRad. My apologies to the OP. One chart I was looking said .35 cm/100m for the H2CMR and 0.13 for the P4 Fine....but it was in inches. I'm an idiot sometimes.
